Things That God Hates. ( Pro 6:16-19)

      Lying is a very common sin to all race and all languages. Webster defined it as a willful act of making false stament(s) with intent to deceive. Lying is perhaps the most destructive sin where people based their decisions on lies, they end up destroying their lives and the lives of others.
        David stated in psalm 116:11, "in my haste, all men are liars" there may be more lying going on than we think.
       Many Christians don't see lies as destructive as it is, they lie all in the name of good business. Have you ever lied? Did your lie destroyed someone's reputation, gteedom , jobs? Have you ever promised someone and never fulfilled? The sin of lie contradicts the character of God, Heb 6:18, but Satan is the father of all lies, John 8:44, so to lie is to choose more like of Satan instead of God.

Why do people lie?
Some are habitual liars. It is their habit to tell lies, they're popular in through lies.
Some lied so as not to hurt someone's feelings.
Some lied for convenience.
Some lied so as to protect themselves. ( Annania and saphirra)
Some lies to avoid embarrassment (Cain).
Some lied to avoid confrontation.
Some lied to cover their shame (potiphar).
Some lied to get money. Pro 19:22, Isa 59:3-4. Whatever the reason, God hate a lying tongue.

Different kind of lies.
1. False witness: Exo.20:16, Exo.23:1-3.
Giving false or wrong statement about something, calling black a white etc, trying to play smart on issues. Matt.15:18-20
2. Half truth: Telling part of the truth is equal to lying, a half truth is a whole lie.
3. Misstatement of facts: This is a plain bold-faced lie, Satan only added one word to God's statement, but completely changed God intent. Gen.3:1-6
4. Silence/Bodily movement: You can lie without opening your mouth by using non-verbal sign, gesture that intended to give lies. Pro.6:12-13. Keeping queit when you ought to speak might misled, so it is all lies, "speak the truth and let devil be ashamed".
5. Slandering: This is to lie with the intention of doing harm to others reputation. Pro.10:18, PSM 101:5.
6. Gossip & Talebearing: 1tim 5:13, Lev.19:16.
7. Flattery: Insincere and execissive praise. Pro.26:28. PSM 55:21.

Conclusion: Right now, Satan want to sell you lies, don't fall like Adam and eve, learn to speak the truth. Pro 14:34. God bless you.
