Boasting in the Lord.

         But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 2 cor 10:17.

        Let the brother of the low degree rejoice in that he is exalted, but the rich in that is made low: because as the flower of the grass, he shall pass away. James 1:9-10.

Introduction:
       Whatever may be the occasion, whether in planting church or watering, or anything whatsoever, whether in his purpose, plan, tolls or success. Paul ever do not deem it improper in same occasion. 2 cor 11:16, 2 cor 12:5, but not of his own power, and attainment, success etc.

     Some people of God love to take glory for themselves, they love to be known where they found themself. Some in the choir department, some in the youth, in the ushers and security, they love to display do as to be recognized by men. He was dispose to trace all to the Lord regarding him as the source to all blessings.

In life people boast of many things;
Nothing is so common than for people to boast or glory. There is nobody who is not proud of anything. 

Those things they boast on are;

1).     Many are proud of their beauty: Especially ladies, they love to boast on their beauty, they love to be seen by everybody, they want to be recognized, their beauty sometimes push them to what they ought not this do, their is nothing you can tell them then that they can listen, no amount of sermon and preaching can change them, they live to show their beauty in clubs, parties, red carpet, occasions etc, for getting God as the maker and architect of that beauty structures of yours, that he is the grand master planner if that your beauty, instead of using your beauty for him, you end up using it for Satan.

2).     Many glory in their accomplishment or children: Many people live to show their success, wherever they are, they always love to boast based on their success. No one has the experience they have, no one dare talk where they are, they know it all. Even in church their pastor can no longer correct them, they causus in church etc forgetting God as the one behind their success.

3).     Some boast in their talents: Many boast in the talents they have for science, gaining knowledge, skills in their profession or calling, their ability to run and so on. Their is nothing worthless that does not constitute a subject to glorifying so far it is ours.

4).      Many glory in their property: Some believe so much in the work of their hand, they so much believe in it, you'll hear them saying " I work for my money" "this is my sweat...." and so on, to pay their tithe in church is war, to help is hard, they close their eyes on the needy, forgetting God as their giver of all.

       Not that we should not boast, but let our boast be in the Lord, we should ascribe our talents, wealth, success, knowledge, beauty, achievement and so on to God. Her 9:23-24 we should rejoice that;

1). We have a God, so glorious, merciful, so powerful and mighty, that is Worth of our ptaise , a God we van confide in.

2). We should know that anything we have is a gift from him, every of our ranks, talents, gifts, and so on are from him. We should rejoice that we may come with the humblest child of poverty and say "not unto us"........ Psalm 115:1.
