God is good

Lonely days

                          ALONE WITH GOD

......And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with hum, until the breaking of the day. Gen 32:24.

Loneliness most times sound uninteresting, a lonely days are days of darkness, a lonely days are days of sorrows agony and pains, they are days which men and women don't wish to come, they are days which people don't prepare for, days when the powerful one seems powerless, when no one can help your situation, when you are left alone to your destiny and your creator alone.

This season in a man's life can not be overlooked, its a period one must pass through in life. Some pass through theirs at early stage if life, some at tender age, some at puberty stage, some at mid 40s, some even at latter stage of life, but all things been equal its a stage one must prepare for because it must surely come.

                Biblical examples:
Jacob: This is a man who has been highly favoured by God and man, though his days were tough on him because of the kind of person he is, he is a corny man, he cornily took his brothers blessing, by trick, he gathered wealth for himself, he is an highly favoured man, God loves him so much, even be for his concession, but on his lonely day, he faced it, the bible says he wrestled......till the breaking of the day, afterward of his wrestle, his name was changed and became a blessed one.

Elijah The Prophet (1king 19:1-18): Elijah is a strong, popular, vibrant, fearless prophet in his days, he has done many miracles, he is known for his authoritative statements ....if I be a man if God........as the Lord liveth before whom I stand ...still face his lonely days when Jezebel threatened to kill him, but he ran to the wilderness where God strengthen him.

Nicodemus (John 3:1-21): A man called Nicodemus, a Pharisees, a ruler of the Jews, came to Jesus at night, in the darkest hour of the day, in his lonely time, to seek salvation of his soul, at a time no one seems to see him, a time no one recognises him, he ran to Jesus, though the bible did not give the aftermath record of his encounter with Jesus, but believed to be saved. At your own darkest hour, who do you run to?.

The likes of Paul, peter, Thomas and all the apostles faced their lonely days, they all ran to the Lord for safety, he is the only one that can help, Jesus Christ our lord and saviour also went through his lonely hour in matt 27:46 when he cried out in a loud voice. In your lonely days, your darkest hour, when no one seems to recognized you, when no one seems to be of help, when it seems the end is near for you, when the world seems to be against you, everything you lay your hand on seems not to profit and so on, who do you run to, what step do you take? Why not making it a date with Jesus, Jacob wrestled meaning he prayed hard, Elijah ran to the wilderness, won't you also go to mountain or a wilderness also to slug it out with Jesus? Nicodemus ran to Jesus at night, won't you also run to Jesus too, he is the only one to save.

A man of God shared his testimony of his lonely days on the mountain, he faced some challenges at home, his work place, church, everything seems so wrong, there seems to be no way out, he now met another man of God a senoir colleague in the ministry, he advised him to go alone on the mountain for 7days, a place where no one can locate him, he helped him to the place, prayed with him for some hours and left him alone. He was scared of animals and reptiles maybe they may attack him, he sang all the song he knew, all the hymns he knew and so on, after some hour, he realised nothing could harm him, he now face business, he prayed for 7days alone on the mountain. He was blessed, his promotion was released immediately, he built his house within 2weeks every of his wishes was granted.

You need to try God, stop behaving stupid in your lonely days, stop complaining of no help, stop accusing your big brothers and sisters, stop accusing your family for no help, stop looking up to man like you, but look on to God Almighty and he will surprise you.
